The Agape Service Project is a 5-day service learning project that involves tabling at grocery stores, running a food/clothing bank, working on a local farm, building friendships with children at a migrant camp, learning activities, teachings of Catholicism, and prayer and Mass.

It is open to all youth grades 6-12.

The cost of the mission is approximately $250 per person, which includes: program fees, food, lodging, t-shirt, and supplies. Participants will need to pay a “good faith” deposit of $50 to be turned in with their application.  This deposit is not only a way to show your commitment to going, but also goes to paying our deposit to AGAPE.  Let it be emphasized that no one will be denied because of funds.

The Esperanza Mission is a Parish Mission experience for those ages 16+!  This Mission serves in Tijuana, Mexico with Esperanza International

Esperanza is a humanitarian organization dedicated to alleviating poverty on the San Diego/Tijuana border region by building strong community leadership through providing basic health services, adequate housing and a long-term commitment to the community.  Their mission is to “empower the poor to help themselves by bridging existing needs with available resources”.  We will be working with their community housing program, building houses and working alongside the family that will be living in that house.

While in Tijuana we will stay at Pueblo Esperanza, a facility built and maintained by Esperanza.  The Posada has beds, a kitchen and a large meeting room.  We will share this space with another parish group.
