Archbishop Brunett, former Archbishop of Seattle has passed away.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Archbishop Emeritus Alexander J. Brunett went home to the Lord on Friday, January 31, 2020.  We are grateful to God for the many accomplishments of his leadership among us.  His funeral arrangements have been finalized.

  • The Vigil Service will be at St. James Cathedral:

Tuesday, February 11th  at 7:00pm.  Archbishop
Emeritus J. Peter Sartain will preside, Bishop William Skylstad, Bishop
Emeritus of Spokane, will preach.

Viewing of the Body will proceed the Vigil from 2 pm to 5:30

  • Mass of Resurrection will be at St. James Cathedral:  

Wednesday, February 12th at 11:00am.  
Archbishop Paul Etienne will preside and Bishop George Thomas of Las Vegas will

Priests wanting to concelebrate
should bring an alb and stole, and RSVP to Corinna at
Deacons who plan on attending should RSVP to

Parishioners are invited to attend either the Vigil on Tuesday at 7:00 pm or the funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Please know that both events will be very well attended. So plan to get there early.

Burial at Holyrood Cemetery:

Wednesday, February 12th at around 4 pm.
 Archbishop Paul Etienne will preside.
